Derek Zhang
President
Derek is a senior from Bellevue, WA, studying economics and political science. He is a National Master and USChess Local Tournament Director. Derek also serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Chess Association, where he is the Regional VP for Northwest Florida.
Aidan Burchard
Vice President
Aidan is studying math and statistics at UF, and the Gator Chess Club Vice President. He is known for playing the Pirc defense and showing people opposition puzzles. He plans on entering a statistics PhD program after graduating in Spring 2023.
