Travel With Us

Each Fall and Spring semester, Gator Chess Club sends its members (traveling members must be a full-time UF student and 18 or older at the time of travel) around the country (and as of Fall 2023, out of the country!) to compete in various chess tournaments. All prizes won by traveling members are their own to keep.

All domestic trips are fully funded!*

These funded items include, but are not limited to, airfare, gas, Uber/Lyft services, tournament entry fees, hotel/Airbnb stays, train tickets, and bus rides.

*Due to funding restrictions, GCC can not pay for USCF/FIDE membership fees or food on these trips. However, we are sometimes able to provide our members with free USCF memberships independent of trips, so be sure to look out for an announcement in our Discord!
